Like the myth behind its namesake, Phoenix seems to have come out of nowhere to rank as the nation’s fifth largest city. It boasts sunny days, cool night life and eye-opening museums.

American Indian culture runs deep in Phoenix, with several active tribes and reservations in the region. Just about all of them have contributed displays or material to the Heard Museum, renowned for its collection of Native American art.

当地的居民肯定会推荐你去Matt’s Big Breakfast吃早晨, 因为这里有一道非常有名的菜式叫做"Chop and Chick".

凤凰城另外一处景象便是在Lux咖啡吧可以品尝到浓咖啡还有其他美味的咖啡饮品, 中午在这儿来一杯提神饮料实在是再好不过了.

A sure sign that Phoenix is hip, or getting there, is the rich espresso and other caffeinated delights at the Lux coffee bar, a cheery spot for a midday pick-me-up.

All sorts of people, some of them rich and famous, once flocked to Phoenix for health reasons, at least before smog became a big problem. But perhaps none was stranger than Boyce Luther Gulley, an architect from Seattle, who arrived in 1930 to recover from tuberculosis and, while he was at it, built the Mystery Castle, largely from found objects.

Desert Botanical Garden沙漠花园大约占用Papago公园50英亩的面积. 这是一块在市区中央拥有高耸的仙人掌和惊艳的花草的绿洲.

The Desert Botanical Garden is spread across 50 acres in Papago Park. It’s an oasis of towering cacti, redolent flowers and surprisingly verdant plants in the middle of the urban grid.
